Klueh Blog January 2016

My first meet of 2016 happened to be my last meet at the Texas Swimming Center in Austin. On one hand, I just raced for the last time at the pool I trained in everyday while swimming for the University of Texas. This pool holds so many memories for me: races won and lost, completing seemingly impossible practices, and forging lifelong bonds with my teammates. However, I am so excited that we have finally entered the Olympic year. Coming into the meet right after infamous Christmas training, I did not have lofty expectations for my performances. I just wanted to race tough and execute my race strategies to the best of my ability. I am pleased with how I did, especially since I was able to get better as the meet went on. I know I can build on these performances as I move closer to achieving my goals at the Olympic Trials in June!
