Now that the summer competition schedule is over I’m taking a week or two of downtime (no swimming!) to reset and refresh and get ready for a great 2016. between spending time at the OTC in Colorado Springs, Toronto for Pan Ams, and San Antonio for nationals it was a very busy Summer for me. Pan Ams was the high water mark for me, as its always great to be able to represent the USA on an international stage. While it wasn’t quite the performance I had hoped for, being able to come away with a silver medal against some pretty accomplished competition was a great experience. To help me get ready for the upcoming year, I’m spending my vacation time in Athens, GA, the home of my alma mater, the University of Georgia. While unfortunately there are no football games while I’m down here, it has been great relax and catch up with old friends. Soon I’ll be heading back to DC and then we hit the last stage on the road to Rio! 2016 is just around the corner and I couldn’t be more excited to make it the best year yet.
