A native of Mission Hills, Kansas, Bollier began swimming at the age of eight to become better than his sister. He attended Pembroke High School, where he graduated in 2008, and was accepted at Stanford University in California.
A 14-time NCAA All-American while at Stanford, Bollier was one of the best collegiate athletes in the world, as well as one of the best student athletes in the classroom. Impressively, he was named a First Team Academic All-American to complement his many achievements in the water. He was also a two-time member of the United State’s World University Games team, at which he earned two silver medals. Bollier graduated from Stanford in May 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Bollier just barely missed qualifying for the 2012 Olympic team, finishing with the bronze medal in the 200 fly behind two of the world’s great swimmers, Tyler Clary and Michael Phelps. So it’s clear that Bollier knows a thing or two about competitive swimming – and he understands the impact that swimwear can have on performance.
Bobby now lives in Palo Alto, CA and trains with the Stanford mens team . He coached the boys’ and girls’ swim teams at Menlo-Atherton High School in 2013 and 2014, and has also participated in several Fitter & Faster Swim Tour clinics. He competed in the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, winning a silver medal as part of the preliminary heat of the Mens 800M free relay.
